Yes, Keir Hamilton received his Doctorate in Plant Medicine (DPM) from the University of Florida in August of 2021. The DPM Program is a real professional Doctoral Program. Keir successfully took over 120 credit hours of multidisciplinary classes in Entomology, Nematology, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Pathology and Soil Science to achieve his DPM.
Like many of you, Keir is interested in helping solve the world's most pressing issues and one of those is food insecurity. The DPM Program aligns students with the coursework, skills and applied experiences to provide a comprehensive understanding of agriculture, insect pests and diseases that reduce marketable yields.
When Keir is not crop consulting he is skateboarding, reading books, identifiying plants, identifying insects, identifying plant pathogens, practicing photography, practicing culinary art, enjoying the fellowship of friends, going for hikes, or visiting the beach.
Keir was born in Tampa, FL, so it made logical sense for him to attend high school, undergraduate and graduate school in the State of Florida.
